My ceramic work focus is functional pottery.  Having grown up in upstate New York, I have always felt a connection in nature.  It's a human sense of guidance, creating beauty/function with my own two hands from Earthen materials.

Recent work utilizes Hudson Valley native clay as an ingredient in some of my high fire pottery glazes, I also use our native clay for my Spring line of Terra Cotta pots(strawberry pots, orchid pots, hanging baskets, and other pots for plants).  All my high fire functional pottery is food safe, dishwasher, and micro-wave safe.

During my college days, I studied functional pottery of Bernard Leach, Michael Cardew, and Hamada Shoji.  These days, I find myself creating functional pottery in the spirit of Bernard Leach.  I am a frequent student of Bernard’s grandson “Simon Leach”.

My studio is based at the Hat Factory,  located at 1000 North Division Street, Peekskill, NY.  Sales are by appointment.
