Life is irrational. Only in art do we expect things to make sense. Painting is a place and time. It’s a state of being, a process and a product. It’s what I see, things I know—how they are with me—how I am today. It’s here and now colored by everything from before. I take note.

My work has been shown in many exhibitions in New York City, throughout the United States, in Europe, Africa, China and Japan. I have organized and curated numerous exhibitions for public places with the objective of putting art which is accessible in concept before the public at large. This includes developing art space in non-traditional locations in inner-city neighborhoods as well as in institutions and business locations.
