Open Studios 2011

The 14th Annual Peekskill OPEN STUDIOS 2011 May 14th and 15th, from noon to 5 pm

The PAC holds its 14th Annual 'Open Studios' with venues throughout the city.

 
All sites are free and open to the pubic.
 
See work by more than 100 artists, 40 in their studios and special exhibitions in galleries, museums and other venues throughout Peekskill.
 
Come meet the artists & Celebrate art through the day & music at the cafes at night.

Get to see the creative process at work first hand with visits to over 32 artists’ private studios. Open a dialogue with them to discover what drives the creative process. Spend time perusing the special exhibits and professional gallery spaces where even more artwork is on display.
 
Works on display will include traditional and contemporary, paintings, sculptures, video art, photography, installation pieces, ceramics, prints, drawings and silk paintings.
 
There are numerous new public art sites throughout the city, which include sculpture, tile, and mural installations.
 
The Peekskill art scene is an evolving, changing vibrant community. New artists are moving into the area yearly. The newest organizational addition is the Peekskill Clay Studio at the Hat Factory.

Guided tours of select artist’s studios in the downtown will leave from the Jan Peek Gazebo at the intersection of Park and Division Streets at 1 & 3:00 p.m. each day.                                     

Maps for self guided tours will be provided at centralized locations.
